In the lush green hills north of Ubud, a new villa resort is currently under development in the peaceful area of Tegallalang. Known for its iconic rice terraces and scenic landscapes, this region offers one of the most beautiful natural environments in Bali. The project is designed for buyers who appreciate nature, privacy and a relaxed lifestyle while still being close to the cultural center of Ubud.
In this listing, we introduce the Bambu Insta villa type.
This off-plan villa in Bali is defined by its expressive bamboo structure and flowing, organic design, creating a natural connection between the built environment and its surroundings. The curved layout and high, sculptural roof enhance the sense of space, allowing light and air to move freely throughout the home.
The ground level is dedicated to the bedroom and bathroom, both designed with a direct relationship to the outdoors. Wide-opening doors invite natural airflow and daylight inside, supporting a comfortable tropical living experience.
Upstairs, the villa opens into an elevated living area with an integrated kitchen. From this position, you can enjoy views over the surrounding landscape while benefiting from optimal ventilation and brightness.
The outdoor area features a generous pool deck with a private plunge pool, offering a quiet place to relax. With its sustainable materials, efficient layout, and recognizable architectural style, Bambu Insta Villa presents a compelling option for both investment and private use in Bali.
The resort is being developed by a Dutch property developer with experience in several international projects. For this development the company has secured approximately 40 hectares of land. Only around 10 hectares will be used for the construction of the villas and facilities, while the remaining land will remain largely untouched to preserve the natural character of the area.
Development will take place in several phases. Phase 1 has already sold out and construction of those villas is well underway as of March 2026. Phase 2 is currently available for sale and many of the villas in this phase have already been reserved. Construction of the first villas in this phase will begin shortly.
One of the distinctive elements of this resort is the variety of architectural styles. Instead of identical villas, each phase will include seven to eight different villa designs. These designs are inspired by traditional Indonesian architecture and incorporate natural materials such as bamboo, alang-alang roofing and teak wood.
Besides the villas themselves, the resort will offer several shared facilities designed to enhance the overall living experience. The central area will include swimming pools, restaurants, co-working spaces, fitness facilities and a yoga pavilion. In a more secluded part of the property, surrounded by jungle, a spa and massage center will be developed.
The surrounding landscape is one of the highlights of this location. From the resort you will enjoy wide views across rice fields, tropical forest and the mountains of Bali, including Mount Agung. Two peaceful waterfalls are located within approximately fifteen minutes walking distance.
Owners may live in their villa permanently if desired, although many buyers will likely use the property as a holiday home. During periods when the villa is not in use, the resort management can handle rentals and full property management.
For buyers looking for villas in a natural resort environment near Ubud, this development offers a unique combination of lifestyle and investment potential.
